Prompt payment of receivables from the Customers

MSMEs enjoy special status when it comes to receiving their bills from the customers, the Supreme Court has mandated that any buyer of goods and service from registered MSME should make the payment on or before the agreed date of payment or within 15 days from the day they had accepted the goods or services. If the buyer defaults the payment for more than 45 days after receiving the goods or services, then the buyer will be penalised to pay interest which is 3 times the rate that is notified by RBI.
